ABOVE ARE BOTH THE 12" and 9" CARL ZEISS REFRACTING TELESCOPES AT THE GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
Through Sky & Telescope in 1990 a well known local amateur astronomer in Los Angeles purchased a vintage 1927 Carl Zeiss Type E 10" F/16 objective lens for a large aperture refractor project. This individual has since sold the telescope system which also included an Edward R. Byers large equatorial mount and custom pier from a previous large aperture 8" refractor.
The telescope has since been sold and is now located at an observatory in Arizona. (image - Google)
